Toplița

A spa town in northern Transylvania nestled between three mountain ranges (Călimani, Gurghiu, Giurgeu). Four centuries of thermal-water tradition, a rafting past and noble heritage — Urmánczy Castle, mineral springs, an Orthodox monastery. The nearby Călimani National Park and the Mureș Gorge offer breathtaking natural wonders.

Gheorgheni

Where two cultures meet: centuries-old Székely woodcutting, rafting and animal husbandry, alongside the trading and culinary heritage of the Armenian community — chimney cake, homemade cheeses and pálinka, hurut soup and anghidjabur. Folk crafts (pottery, woodcarving, weaving) are still alive today.

The "Székely mother-city" — a historical and cultural centre with nearly seven centuries of past in the Târnava Mare valley. A school-town tradition since 1593, the Iron Székely Monument and the legacy of Orbán Balázs.
